Patti LaBelle, pseudonimo di Patricia Louise Holt

Vera leggenda della musica R&B e soul (ed in particolare del Philadelphia soul), fu componente principale di due gruppi vocali femminili di discreto successo: The Bluebelles ed il trio Labelle con la hit mondiale Lady Marmalade. Alla fine degli anni Settanta Patti inizia una straordinaria carriera da solista che continua ancora oggi, influenzando un'intera generazione di cantanti femminili. È riconosciuta per la sua potenza vocale e il suo picco di estensione.
